This Workshop, organised in cooperation with the University of Milano, has covered the State of the art and Needs for further research for emergency and recovery preparedness and response.
The NERIS Workshop 2015 has provided an opportunity to discuss and exchange with NERIS Members, International organisations and European Research communities on priorities for the NERIS Platform.
The proceedings of this Workshop are now available and can be downloaded here.
The outcomes of the NERIS-TP European project have been published in a supplemental issue (Vol. 51, issue 1) of the Radioprotection revue:
Towards a self-sustaining European platform on nuclear and radiological emergency preparedness, response and recovery. Key results of the NERIS-TP European project.
Editors: Astrid Liland and Wolfgang Raskob.
You will find the Table of contents and all articles on this page.
The 11th issue of the NERIS Newsletter is now available. This edition is dedicated to the feedback from recent events and the announcements.
The Newsletter includes:
NERIS has signed on October 5, 2015 a collaborative research arrangement with ISPRA in order to identify and develop new approaches in the areas of Nuclear/Radiological Emergency Preparedness Response and Recovery, thus working to the mutual benefit of both organisations in the achievement of their objectives.
A new version of the NERIS Strategic Research Agenda is available. A consultation process is now engaged. In order to prepare a strategic vision of radiation protection research in Europe with other Platforms (MELODI, ALLIANCE, EURADOS), we need to select a list of high priorities and also to rank these priorities.
As member of the NERIS Platform you are invited to consult the document and fill the grid to select research priorities.
The grid contains two columns: the first column allows ranking the priorities of the SRA with three to five priorities and the second column allows selecting the priorities in terms of synergetic issues with the other platforms for the second OPERRA Call.
On 5 December 2013 MELODI, the European Radioecology Alliance (ALLIANCE), NERIS and EURADOS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to confirm their joint commitment towards the consolidation and implementation of a strategic vision of radiation protection research in Europe. This ceremony took place at the European Commission headquarters in Brussels, in presence of Bruno Schmitz, Head of Unit K4 “Fission” at the Directorate General for Research and Innovation.
